About Us

Early Music Minnesota is committed to providing our communities opportunities to hear excellent performances and have access to invaluable instrumental and educational resources. In residence at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota, EMM presents a Harpsichord Series featuring acclaimed soloists and a Chamber Music Series presenting our own artists along with special guests. In addition to these series, EMM is home to the largest for-rent harpsichord collection in the Midwest, allowing for the use of well-maintained high-quality instruments throughout our community including regular use with the Lyra Baroque Orchestra, Bach Society of Minnesota, the Minnesota Orchestra, and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.

Our History

Formerly known as The Baroque Room, Early Music Minnesota has over a decade of experience presenting more than 450 performances. Featuring both internationally renowned performers and local classical music stars, The Baroque Room was home to wide variety of performances, workshops, and festivals including an International Artist Series, Farmers Market Series, the Twin Cities Baroque Instrumental Performance workshop, and Saint Paul Classical Music Crawl, which was named one of the top ten classical music events of 2015 by the Saint Paul Pioneer Press. Recipient of numerous grants and awards, The Baroque Room supported performing artists by providing a concert venue with low rental costs, administrative support, and fiscal sponsorship. We are excited to continue the legacy of The Baroque Room with Early Music Minnesota.
